Credit terms

1. Buying credit. Prepaid credit is bought in one-off payments through Stripe in packs of £5, £10, £25 or £50, or any amount from £5. We never charge you automatically; there are no automatic top-ups.
2. Using credit. Translation costs £25 per 1 million billed characters (£0.000025 each). When a job is queued its estimated cost is held from your balance; when it finishes the actual cost is taken and the rest is returned. If your balance can't cover a job, it is refused before it runs.
3. Expiry. Each purchase expires 12 months after the date it was bought. The oldest credit is always used first, and any unused remainder of a purchase is removed when it expires. Expiry dates are shown on your billing page, which also flags credit expiring within 30 days.
4. Free allowance. Each organisation receives 50,000 free characters once, when it is created. The allowance does not renew or reset monthly, has no cash value, and creating extra organisations to obtain more free characters is not permitted.
5. Subscriptions. Pro and Team include a monthly allowance; usage beyond it is invoiced with the subscription and does not use prepaid credit.
6. Refunds. Unused, unexpired credit can be refunded on request to the original payment method. Credit has no cash value and cannot be transferred between organisations.
